Cookie Notice

This notice lists every cookie and similar technology Intrudly uses: who sets it, what it is for, and how long it lasts. We do not use advertising cookies.

Last updated 17 September 2026.

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Local storage works in a similar way, keeping a little data in your browser between visits. This notice covers both.

Intrudly uses them for four things: signing you in and keeping that secure, taking payment, live chat, and, only if you agree, analytics.

Sign-in and Security

Sign-in and accounts are run by Clerk. Clerk sets some of these cookies on every visit, even if you never sign in, so the site can tell whether you are signed in. The site cannot work without them.

Clerk

  • __client_uat, plus a copy with a suffix such as __client_uat_jrTE1j3L, on intrudly.com. Records when you last signed in or out, so the site knows whether to check your session. Set on every visit.
  • __client, on clerk.intrudly.com. Identifies your browser to Clerk, so you stay signed in between visits. Set on every visit.
  • __session, plus a copy with a suffix, on intrudly.com. Only while you are signed in. Holds a short session token that proves to our servers that it is you. The token expires after 60 seconds and is renewed while you use the site. The cookie lasts one year and is removed when you sign out.
  • clerk_active_context, on intrudly.com. Only while you are signed in. Remembers which session is active. Deleted when you close your browser.
  • Cookies whose names start with __clerk_. Set for a moment while your session is being checked, then discarded.
  • __clerk_environment, in local storage. A saved copy of our sign-in settings, so the sign-in form loads faster.

Clerk sets __client and __client_uat to last up to 10 years. Your browser may shorten that; Chrome, for example, keeps cookies for at most 400 days.

Cloudflare

Clerk's sign-in service is protected by Cloudflare, which sets two security cookies on clerk.intrudly.com:

  • __cf_bm. Helps tell people from automated bots. Expires after 30 minutes of inactivity.
  • _cfuvid. Lets rate limits tell apart people who share an internet connection. Deleted when you close your browser.

Payments

Subscriptions are billed through Clerk, which uses Stripe to take payment. Stripe's payment form only loads when you are signed in and open checkout or add a payment method. When it does, Stripe sets two fraud-prevention cookies on intrudly.com:

  • __stripe_mid. Helps Stripe judge whether a payment is fraudulent. Lasts one year.
  • __stripe_sid. Does the same for your current visit. Lasts 30 minutes.

Stripe's payment form may also use Stripe's own cookies and hCaptcha, as described in Stripe's cookie policy.

Live Chat

The chat button on every page is provided by Crisp. Crisp loads with the page and stores the following on intrudly.com, so a conversation can carry on across pages and visits:

  • crisp-client/session/… cookie. Identifies your chat session. Set as soon as a page loads, even if you never open the chat. Lasts six months.
  • crisp-client/socket/… cookie. Set when you open the chat, to keep the live connection. Lasts two days.
  • Local storage entries starting with crisp-client/session/. A copy of your chat session kept in your browser.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site, such as which pages are visited and where visitors came from, so we can improve it. It only runs if you agree to analytics cookies. If you decline, it does not load and none of these cookies are set.

  • _ga. Tells different browsers apart. Lasts two years.
  • _ga_ followed by an ID. Keeps track of your current visit. Lasts two years.

Google processes this data for us and may do so in the United States. We do not use it for advertising.

Your Choices

You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the Clerk or Cloudflare cookies stops sign-in from working. Blocking Stripe's cookies may stop a payment from going through. Blocking Crisp's means the chat cannot remember your conversation. Declining analytics does not change how the site works.
